The romantic month of June is peak wedding season. Aside from the more stable weather, which is perfect for taking wedding photos and going on honeymoons, the name "June" originates from the Roman goddess Juno, who represents femininity, marriage, and motherhood—so being a June bride is always something to look forward to. Wedding customs, from taking bridal portraits, ordering wedding cakes, holding the ceremony, hosting the banquet, to the honeymoon, are both elaborate and sweet. This year, the Council of Agriculture’s Agricultural Travel Network has launched a “Happy Bridal” section, introducing soon-to-be newlyweds to everything they need to know about getting married.

Taking wedding photos is one of the happiest moments for couples, especially choosing a romantic location to capture the most beautiful memories of their love against a backdrop of sea and sky or historic architecture. Nowadays, most couple photography involves a mix of studio and outdoor shoots, including bridal attire and full hair and makeup styling, with prices starting from NT$50,000. Couples can adjust based on their budget. The website’s “Spotlight on Locations” introduces popular spots across Taiwan for wedding photos, such as the Gothic pointed arches of Xinshe Manor Castle, the four-season blooms at Nanyuan Leisure Farm, the European domed castle architecture of Tulip Garden Homestay, and the Double-Heart Stone Weir at Qimei, Penghu. In addition to consulting with wedding planners, couples can also reach out to the Taiwan Leisure Agriculture Development Association.
As for wedding banquets, garden courtyard weddings and lakeside ceremonies are among the most popular new choices. The beauty of the garden paired with Western-style buffet dining offers the same level of romance and comfort as getting married abroad. For those wanting something different, a vintage-style retro wedding can also be arranged, with a bridal sedan chair procession combined with the natural charm of rural settings—definitely an unforgettable experience. For catering, “Tian Mama” restaurants, guided by local agricultural associations, offer affordable options with per-table prices ranging from NT$2,000 to NT$5,000, allowing couples to choose according to their budget for something economical yet satisfying. In the “Must-Have Wedding Banquet” section, the Herb Garden Theme Restaurant offers various themes and outdoor weddings, enabling couples to enjoy a romantic garden wedding filled with the fragrance of herbs.

The traditional “daughter gift” is prepared by parents for their daughter, allowing friends and family to share in the joy of the new marriage and announce the happy news. The daughter gift series, carefully crafted by agricultural associations across Taiwan, combines produce grown by farmers with regional specialties and professionally designed packaging to create creative gift boxes. Whether it’s premium rice, artisanal fruit vinegar, or carefully cultivated tea, these are all local delights. The “Love & Daughter Gifts” section features exquisite gift boxes offered by agricultural associations around the country, with prices starting from NT$200, giving couples plenty of choices.
