The “2010 Taipei International Flora Exposition” is Taiwan’s first internationally authorized international horticultural exposition. During the exhibition period, in addition to attracting tourists from around the world, it also aims to let visitors experience the unique culinary charm of Taipei’s fine dining establishments. This year’s Taipei International Gastronomy Show highlights the theme “Taipei Gastronomy Feast,” presenting a variety of floral-inspired delicacies that integrate the spirit of floral art into ingredients, using creativity to showcase Taipei’s distinctive culinary excellence. The event specially invited the Din Tai Fung Group to take the lead in demonstrating, with its brands—“Summer Palace,” “ikki Creative Kaiseki,” “Yuan Shao,” “Din Tai Fung,” “The Steak House,” “Tao Ban Fang,” and “Ju”—joining forces for the first time. Each brand incorporates different floral elements into their cuisine, offering a range of exquisitely crafted dishes.

To allow each of its brands to maintain a unique identity, the Din Tai Fung Group uses “flowers” as a means of visual and brand differentiation in response to the “2010 Taipei International Gastronomy Show.” In addition to displaying their representative brand flowers through floral art, they also use floral themes, incorporating a variety of edible flowers into their dishes to design uniquely creative and stylish cuisine. From June 19 to July 15, Summer Palace’s New Champs-Élysées Teppanyaki will additionally offer diners a “Osmanthus Aroma Dessert” voucher to enjoy the fragrant floral dessert.

The Taipei City Commerce Department has invited registered Taipei restaurants to apply for the “Taipei Gastronomy Feast: Floral-inspired Delicacies Selection Event.” The selected top 100 floral-inspired delicacy establishments will have the opportunity to participate in the “Floral Era Culinary Showcase,” showcasing their dishes on stage and capturing the spotlight. Additionally, the top three most popular themed dishes, as voted by netizens, will have the chance to be featured in the renowned food magazine Taipei Walker under the report “Floral Delicacies Revealed,” and seize tourism business opportunities at the “Taipei International Flora Exposition.”
