The 2010 Shamao Mountain Cool Summer Festival offers free experiences of beer and cold springs

Yangmingshan, characterized by its volcanic and geothermal activity landscapes, offers not only mountain hiking for summer retreats but also ice-cold springs and an ocean of beer as the best cooling remedies. The "2010 Shamao Mountain Cool Summer Festival," which rolls out various promotions, blends hot spring soaking, gourmet food, and beer from Shamao Mountain to offer different ways to have fun. Stores are also offering promotional deals, such as public pools for as low as NT$70, 30% off dining, 5-hour KTV singing with complimentary snacks, all-you-can-drink beverages for NT$1,111, and even delicious meals under NT$100 or signature dishes of the day at just 10% of the original price.

The "2010 Shamao Mountain Cool Summer Festival" kicked off on June 26 in Beitou Xingyi Road business district, where the largest "beer bubble bath" in Taiwan was created. Regardless of gender, anyone who dares to show off and wears a bikini can sign up for the "Bikini – I Love Shamao Mountain Challenge." Registration comes with participation prizes including five weekday hot spring tickets, six bottles of beer, and ice cream (event limited, pre-registration required). Participants soak in a special beer cold spring for one minute, then shout out loud, "Shamao Mountain cold spring and food – the coolest summer!" The top three with the highest decibel levels will win a renowned British Ventura bicycle, a joyful 5-day trip to Thailand, or a premium steak dinner voucher for two. Aside from participants, those who purchase the joint hot spring ticket on-site can also experience this summer’s coolest beer cold spring pool while soaking and sipping.

In addition, the Shamao Mountain Hot Spring Promotion Association has specially collaborated with its 16 member stores to launch a NT$999 joint hot spring ticket, which includes two holiday-use and five weekday-use vouchers, along with chances to enter prize draws. On the event day, stars from the "Three Freshmen of Starlight" – Pan Yuwen, Xu Renjie, and Zhou Dingwei, as well as entertainer Shi Kangjun, performed, allowing the public to enjoy the performances of the Starlight group while soaking in cold springs.
