Enjoy a Fun Summer in Sanyuan & Step into a Parent-Child Pear Fairy Tale World
When the July sun shines brightly, it’s also the time when pears ripen in Sanyuan, Miaoli, heralding the start of the annual “2010 Sanyuan Pear Tourism Season”! Themed “Pear Fairy Tales: A Fun Summer Adventure in Sanyuan’s Fairy Tale Amusement Park,” this year’s event uses amusement park-style activities to invite parents and children to enjoy a fun summer in Sanyuan, discover the area’s specialty—crisp and juicy Fengshui pears—while immersing themselves in a joyful fairy tale amusement park full of play and laughter.

The “2010 Sanyuan Pear Tourism Season” will be held on July 10 and 11 at Sanyuan Junior High School. In addition to sampling the tender and juicy Fengshui pears, the event also integrates Sanyuan’s distinctive local industries, tourism resources, and the warm hospitality of Hakka culture, inviting visitors to experience life in a Hakka village. To ensure both adults and children have a cool and fun summer in Sanyuan, the main event venue features a Cool Fairy Tale World play area, where large inflatable games lead kids into a refreshing summer fairy tale land. There will also be parent-child inflatable games, pear-peeling competitions, and prize quizzes for families to enjoy together. On-site performances include a national university cheerleading dance championship show and a Hakka cultural performance area.
For creative pear cuisine and local specialty promotions, there will be summer-exclusive “Sanyuan Pear Cool Dishes,” free tastings of local agricultural products, and souvenir sales. From 09:00 to 17:00 on July 10 and 11, shuttle buses will provide guided tours to Sanyuan attractions and fruit-picking orchards, making it easy to explore the area.
