A new fashion landmark in Xinyi District: Uni-President Hankyu Department Store Taipei

The much-awaited Uni-President Hankyu Department Store Taipei will open in October. Alongside the arrival of the popular brand UNIQLO, the department store emphasizes its positioning as a “beauty department store,” aiming at women with spending power. By making fashion accessible, it seeks to delight a wide audience of female customers.

Located at the intersection of Zhongxiao East Road and Keelung Road, Uni-President Hankyu Department Store Taipei integrates a transportation hub, hotel, and department store. Floors B2 to 7 cover 8,000 ping, while floors 8 to 31 house the internationally renowned W Hotel. Each floor of Hankyu Department Store has a uniquely themed design, including a fashion gallery, stylish office space, street-corner plaza, dessert market, park market, and beauty salon, offering visitors a delightful surprise on every level.
The outdoor space on the 2nd floor, “Dream Plaza,” can accommodate 2,000 people and serves as a large venue for various events such as fashion shows, concerts, Christmas lightings, and New Year’s Eve celebrations. Starting from the 5th floor, the space features a triple-height design with an 8-meter-tall grand crystal chandelier, creating a luxurious and romantic atmosphere for women. The business anticipates that the store will attract around 100,000 visitors per day after opening, aiming to compete with Taiwan’s largest department store chains, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi and Pacific Sogo.
