It's the perfect time to visit Korea—Enjoy special benefits during the “2010–2012 Visit Korea Year”
Want to explore the dreamy scenes from your favorite K-dramas? Or discover Korea’s fascinating historical and cultural heritage? Travelers planning a trip to Korea—now’s the time to go. The years 2010 to 2012 mark the Visit Korea Year, with five programs created specifically for visitors to help them experience Korea’s warmth and beautiful scenery.
First up is the “Welcome Program.” Anyone traveling to Korea between July 30 and August 5 this year can download the “Visit Korea Year WELCOME KIT” from the official website and pick up a generous welcome gift upon arrival at Incheon Airport. Shoppers are in for a treat too—July 21 to September 12 is the “2010 Seoul Grand Sale,” where over 5,000 shops across Seoul are participating in this event, covering shopping, accommodation, dining, culture, beauty, and health, allowing everyone to fully enjoy food, fun, and entertainment.

For those who prefer independent travel, Korea has also introduced the “Free Extra Night Stay” promotion, available at partner hotels in four major cities: Seoul, Jeju, Ulsan, and Busan. This allows travelers to save money while having more fun. The final two programs, the “Online Incentive Measures” and the “Free Sightseeing Bus,” are both available until the end of the year, helping travelers avoid transportation worries and making the Korean journey even more colorful.
