The list of Taipei's Top 100 Themed Restaurants is out — how many have you tried?
What’s the best food in Taipei? After two months of public voting and scoring by food journalists, the Taipei City Government’s “Taipei Gourmet Moments” event has unveiled a list of 100 distinctive themed restaurants. These 100 eateries cover Chinese, Japanese, Thai, grilled meats, renowned old-school establishments, and popular street foods — an incredibly diverse selection that’s sure to delight any food lover.

Taipei boasts a rich and diverse food scene — from regional Chinese specialties to international cuisines and mouthwatering street snacks — all leaving a deep impression on visitors. The Taipei City Commerce Department says this year’s “Taipei Style Dining” selection event is like the “red carpet” for restaurants, using voted-in featured eateries to attract the public. Promoting great food also helps drive customer traffic.
The 100 Style Dining restaurants were selected through public voting using consumption invoices, then scored by major food journalists including those from Taipei Walker. The shortlist includes talked-about Michelin restaurant “L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon”, Sheraton Taipei Hotel’s SUKHOTHAI Thai cuisine, World Trade Club Chinese Restaurant, Shao Shao Ke Shaanxi Cuisine, Yamashiro Japanese Yakitori & Grill, Chaumont New Champs-Élysées Teppanyaki, Huaxi Street Tainan Danzai Noodles, and Hu Zhang Zhang Food Culture Museum, among others.

On August 2nd, the final recommended 50 “Golden Gourmet Style Dining” restaurants will also be announced. They’ll have the opportunity to set up in the Expo exhibition area, giving the world a taste of Taipei’s delicious offerings. Members of the public who dine at any of the Top 100 restaurants before July 31st, then upload their receipts to the event website and provide feedback, will have a chance to win one of 100 free experience vouchers for the Silver Gourmet Style Dining restaurants, as well as a food voucher lucky draw package worth over NT$10,000.
