Yingge ceramics are famous both at home and abroad, drawing visitors from near and far each year. The Xinxing Ji Ci Sightseeing Factory was jointly planned with the Taipei County Government over the course of a year and became the first sightseeing factory in Yingge to receive central government accreditation. It aims to preserve and promote ceramic culture, striving to continue the legacy of the nation’s ceramic art.

Since its establishment in 1926, Xinxing Ceramics has played a significant role in the history of Yingge’s ceramic development. Transitioning from architectural ceramics and daily-use ceramics to the production of ceramic artworks, pottery classes, product innovation, and transformation, the company has preserved a wealth of historical artifacts across four generations. Its memorial museum recounts and documents an 80-year history, making it a key force in promoting ceramic craftsmanship.

Since last year, Taipei County has been guiding four enterprises to transform into sightseeing factories with historical, cultural, and educational significance. These include the Tamsui Da’an Industrial Research Yi Shou Duo Cultural Hall, the Sanxia Chashanfang Soap Experience Hall, the Tucheng San Shugong Handicraft Creative Rice Cake Culture Hall, and the Xinxing Ji Ci Ceramic Memorial Museum. This achievement was made possible through collaboration among industry, government, and academia, transforming traditional specialty industries into new forms of educational tourism.
