A Valentine's Day filled with the aroma of wine—try something new at Story of Wine

The most romantic love story of the Qixi Festival (Chinese Valentine’s Day) is undoubtedly the meeting of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl on the magpie bridge. Story of Wine transforms this festival’s gift-giving spirit into respect for elders, longing for friends, and love for one’s partner, featuring the Wine Lovers series as this year’s Valentine’s Day wines. The reason is the story behind the labels of the Wine Lovers series—these were created by renowned Australian artist Dorothee Heibel during her husband’s cancer treatment. As both were wine enthusiasts who often enjoyed wine together, the romantic vibe of Valentine’s Day couldn’t be more fitting.

This year for Qixi, Story of Wine has designed a romantic, warm, and exquisite Valentine’s series for lovers everywhere, enhanced with stunning floral packaging—each one is truly breathtaking. In addition to the Valentine’s commemorative edition, Story of Wine also offers a Spanish wine tasting event, specially in collaboration with independent film director Alfie, hosting a series of Spanish film and wine tastings. While savoring Spain’s unique sparkling wine made by the Champagne method—Cava—Alfie will guide everyone in exploring the sensual world within Spanish cinema.

In Spain, Cava refers to Spanish sparkling wine made using the traditional Champagne method, mostly produced in the Catalonia wine region. Sparkling wines are generally referred to as “Espumante,” which includes those made using methods such as the Charmat process.
The price of Cava is surprisingly affordable compared to French Champagne, making it extremely popular and one of the world’s most beloved sparkling wines. The Spanish film and wine tasting events will be held on August 20th, August 26th, and August 27th. Each session has limited capacity and requires advance reservation.
