Imagine the transformation of sculpture – The touring exhibition of the "14th Taocheng Art Exhibition"

The "Taocheng Art Exhibition" began seven years ago as a local open call and expanded to a national competition, successfully elevating the level of artistic creation, competitiveness, and creative thinking. The touring exhibition of the "14th Taocheng Art Exhibition" is on display at the Changhua County Cultural Affairs Bureau until August 29. Visitors are welcome to explore the imaginative worlds of the creators.
The Taocheng Art Exhibition showcases 23 sculptures and 18 video works, spanning from two-dimensional to three-dimensional forms, transforming imagination into tangible creations. The diverse and outstanding works feature a variety of artistic expressions, techniques, and creativity, attracting creators from across the country to compete.

The first prize-winning sculpture "Moment" by artist Ding Zonghua uses raw wood as the medium, reflecting the essence of life. With meticulous and precise carving techniques, the artist captures the characters’ forms accurately, along with their humorous and lively expressions. The flat image category adopts a "series format" for submissions, where creators convey the meaning of their works through storytelling. The first prize-winning piece "Taihe 'Go For It'" by Cai Kunlong combines the subjects and scenes to tell the stories of four disaster-stricken areas, winning the "Ouyang Award."
