Catch the tail end of summer and party at the East Coast Music Festival!

The “East Coast Music Season,” hosted by Taitung County Government, will kick off at 7:00 PM on August 27th at the Jiaolulan Recreation Area on the East Coast. The event will feature grassroots and island-style music, allowing all participating visitors to not only catch the tail end of summer but also take advantage of this final summer highlight to visit Taitung and enjoy its beautiful coastal scenery.

This year’s East Coast Music Season is themed “Island Music.” Performances will take place every evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM on August 27, 28, 29, and September 4, 5. The program is divided into “Opening Night,” “Starlight Night,” “Moonlight Night,” “Acoustic Night,” and “Closing Night.” Renowned groups and artists such as Nan Quan Mama, Starlight Group members — Yeh Wei-ting and Lai Sheng-en, Zhang Xinjie, as well as local indigenous singers and bands like Coke and BAND, will perform under the starry sky, connecting with audiences through music.

A free stage will also be set up during the event, open daily at 4:00 PM for aspiring musicians and creative amateurs to boldly showcase their talents.
To avoid congestion, the organizers have arranged free shuttle buses as well as sightseeing shuttle services. The free shuttle bus route includes stops at the Culture and Tourism Office, the airport, the train station, and the event venue. The sightseeing shuttle route covers the airport, train station, Forest Recreation Area, and Jiaolulan. The public is welcome to make use of these services.
