2010 Taipei Fun: Photo Sharing & Photography Contest
Where to have fun in Taipei? While you're out exploring and having a good time, don't forget to capture the most amazing moments in the "2010 Taipei Fun FunTaipei Photo Sharing & Photography Contest" – a wide call for photos showing various aspects of Taipei. By sharing and recording, let everyone rediscover a different side of Taipei, and even have a chance to win tickets to the Flower Expo. The top three winners in the photography contest can also receive cash prizes, so all photography enthusiasts are welcome to submit your works enthusiastically.
Taipei has many natural landscapes and cultural attractions to explore.
The event runs from August 13th to October 3rd. The photo sharing activity is divided into six major themes: "Waterfront Taipei", "Bike Taipei", "Mountain-Hugging Taipei", "Cultural Taipei", "Maokong Gondola Taipei", and "Night View Taipei". One hundred lucky winners will be drawn, each receiving four tickets to the Flower Expo. The photography contest focuses on the themes of "Taipei City’s Tamsui River" and "Maokong Scenery", inviting submissions of photographic works that convey humanistic features and the beauty of wandering around Taipei through moving scenery and stories. The top three winners will receive NT$20,000, NT$18,000, and NT$15,000 respectively, while 12 runners-up and 15 selected honorable mentions will receive NT$6,000 and NT$5,000 respectively. The winning works will be publicly exhibited at "Taipei Spotlight".

To offer more benefits to travelers, the event website has also partnered with a number of restaurants, including beef noodle shops, hot pot restaurants, Sichuan cuisine eateries, American-style diners, and bubble tea shops, and provides the public with downloadable and printable discount QR codes, giving them the chance to enjoy the most discounted "Traveler Dining Deals", as well as view newly added great photos.
