How do you plan to spend this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival? The Flower Expo, kicking off in November this year, is set to be one of Taipei’s biggest annual events. To help visitors make the most of their trip, partner hotels of the Flower Expo are offering discounts of up to 63% on accommodations starting July 1. The expo is also actively recruiting 500 partner stores across Taipei, allowing visitors to enjoy a variety of great deals with their tickets. It is estimated that this Flower Expo will generate an economic impact of NT$16.8 billion.
This year’s Flower Expo has partnered with 164 hotels across Taiwan to offer special room rates. A total of 164 partner hotels are located in 19 counties and cities nationwide, including 37 five-star hotels, with discounts ranging from 37% to 80% off. For example, a room at Grand Hyatt Taipei, normally priced at NT$13,600, is available for just NT$6,809 with a 45% discount through the Flower Expo. Evergreen Laurel Hotel Kaohsiung is even offering an ultra-low rate of 43% off, with double rooms for just NT$3,300 per night. More budget-friendly options are also available, with stays starting at just over NT$1,000 at hotels such as CTBC Hotel Hualien, Taipei Official Residence Hotel, and Asia Pacific Hotel, all offering 37% off.
In addition to discounted accommodations, hotels are also offering various Flower Expo packages, such as free local specialties, complimentary shuttle services from the hotel to the expo site, and free drink vouchers. Some hotels have introduced the “I Love Earth Eco Room Package,” where guests who bring their own toiletries will receive a floral-scented bath set and juice, along with the chance to upgrade their room type for free.
Not only that, the Flower Expo is also recruiting businesses to participate in special discount promotions. These businesses span across retail, food and beverages, daily necessities, photography equipment, tea and teaware, audiovisual equipment, dining, and everyday services. Popular stores such as top-rated group-buying shops, well-known chain tea houses, and iconic Taipei local specialty shops are included in the recruitment list. With a Flower Expo ticket, visitors can enjoy discounts, special offers, or welcome gifts from these 500 partner stores.
For corporate partnership offers, Starbucks Taiwan will provide “Coffee Friends Sharing Deals” at all Starbucks stores islandwide during the Flower Expo period for those holding a Flower Expo ticket. This includes buy-one-get-one-free offers on juices and bottled water (excluding the Flower Expo Yuanshan and Flower Expo Xinyi stores).
Additionally, the Flower Expo has negotiated with Taiwan High Speed Rail to offer discounted combo tickets that include both high-speed rail and Flower Expo entry, as well as special partner hotel packages. Drivers can also enjoy parking for just NT$50 per entry at the Shilin and Neihu Flower Expo parking areas on the day of their visit with a valid Flower Expo ticket.
