Qiu Jing, operator of Taiwan Film City, noted that given the rapidly changing social environment, factors such as the midlife unemployment crisis, the M-shaped society, and the growing wealth gap have placed significant stress on many people’s lives. Therefore, he advocates emulating the indomitable spirit of the founding father in facing life’s various challenges. By exploring the nostalgic film street within Taiwan Film City, visitors can admire the architecture of the 1950s and 1960s, soothe their emotions, and appreciate the pioneering spirit of the ancestors who helped create Taiwan’s economic miracle. He believes that as long as everyone carries forward the resilient determination of those who came before, another wave of Taiwan’s economic miracle is just around the corner.

Taiwan Film City was developed in 1989, covering an area of approximately 35 hectares, with about 2 hectares dedicated to filming locations. The site is mainly designed to replicate a small rural town from the early post-retrocession period of Taiwan, featuring architectural styles primarily inspired by Minnan-style buildings and Japanese colonial-era "Baroque" architecture, including shopping streets, squares, and various scene facilities.

Numerous domestic films and TV dramas, over a hundred in total, such as “A Life of Love,” “The Gangster Professor,” “Taiwan Ah Cheng,” “Backlight of the Houshan,” “When Will You Return,” “A Dowry of One Ox Cart,” “Tears for You,” “Fate,” “Love,” “The First Family,” and “New Stars Shine on Me,” were filmed here.
