“$6 Steak” Is Tempting Enough – Outback Steakhouse 6th Anniversary Promotion
What kind of steak only costs $6? And it’s not just a bite, but a full 6-ounce Australian Outback Sirloin Steak originally priced at NT$420. To celebrate its sixth anniversary in Taiwan, over 1,000 Outback Steakhouse branches opened their doors to 100 lucky customers on the first day of the promotion, who queued up to enjoy the Outback Sirloin Steak at just $6, down from the original NT$420. For those who couldn’t make it in time, don’t worry — Outback is giving back to its customers by offering classic steak dishes starting from just NT$299, so you can easily enjoy sirloin, filet mignon, New York strip, and surf & turf combos.

Outback was established in 1988 in Tampa, Florida, USA, and is the first themed restaurant in Taiwan to offer an authentic Australian outback-style dining experience. Its steaks are cooked using premium Australian beef and classic American grilling techniques. Bi Huiyin, Taiwan operations supervisor for Outback, said, “Classic steaks have always been a top choice for diners when visiting restaurants. The aroma of grilled meat naturally stirs one's appetite. Outback truly offers authentic flavors with international standards for Western-style steaks. We age different cuts of beef for 30 to 40 days in optimally controlled environments and leverage the advantage of having nearly 1,000 chain stores globally to centralize procurement, share costs, and deliver quality through volume. We maintain our commitment to authentic, fresh ingredients while meeting the demand for refined yet lighter cuisine.”
The anniversary promotion runs from October 8 to December 20, featuring special discounted prices on five classic steak dishes: Outback Sirloin Steak (original NT$420, special NT$299), Alice Springs Sirloin Steak (original NT$520, special NT$399), Pan-Seared New York Strip (original NT$690, special NT$499), Ribeye Steak (original NT$790, special NT$599), and Grilled Filet Mignon with King Prawns (original NT$980, special NT$799).
In addition to in-store deals, there are also great benefits for those who rally support for Outback online. Starting October 15, if 6,666 people gather support via Facebook and Plurk on the campaign website, Outback will give 6,666 consumers the chance to enjoy an Outback Sirloin Steak for just NT$150. This allows netizens to easily savor the rich flavor of tender, aged steaks.
