Disney theme parks in the U.S. have always been a favorite among both adults and children, and also a place where many nurture their dreams. What could be more joyful than learning English while enjoying Disneyland?
The U.S. Disney study tour program recently launched by domestic travel agency Shengda Travel is capitalizing on the booming English learning market by turning Disney theme parks and luxury cruises into classrooms. The park’s amusement facilities serve as learning materials, and the cartoon characters of the Disney kingdom become classmates. Coupled with Disney culture and four comprehensive themed courses — physical science, animal exploration, animation design, and millennium culture — students will explore under the guidance of highly trained professionals and Disney experts over a two- to three-week adventure, immersing themselves in the Disney world.
With U.S. Disney study tours, cruises, and theme parks as the starting point, this “experiential study tour” aims to revolutionize traditional education methods and enhance English learning effectiveness through fun. At the press conference, special guests included U.S. Disney’s Taiwan representative Wang Meimei and Jean Simon, President of AMERICAN LANGUAGE LEARNING and Director of DISNEY WORLD ENGLISH DAYS, who presented the first-hand Disney study tour curriculum and awarded an official authorization certificate to Shengda International Consulting Co., Ltd., making it the sole agent in Taiwan for the DISNEY WORLD ENGLISH DAYS program at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
The U.S. Disney park opened in 1955 and is home to the world’s first Disney theme park, located in Anaheim, California. It remains the most classic Disney resort. Since then, nine additional parks have been opened in the U.S. and overseas, spread across four Disney resort areas. On September 12, 2005, Hong Kong Disneyland opened, becoming the first Disney theme park in the Greater China region.
