Do you want to write about your own or someone else’s touching love story? Want to share your love declaration with everyone? The Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area Administration under the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation will host an online essay competition to select the most romantic love stories, and vote for the most touching “love story.” The winning couple will receive a free “romantic Little Liuqiu honeymoon trip” plus a love vow party.

This event is planned in collaboration with New York International Management Consultants and aims to help people learn more about the romantic coral island in southern Taiwan—Little Liuqiu. The contest will accept submissions from both Taiwan and Hong Kong. Participants can write about the love stories of themselves, friends, parents, grandparents, or other relatives. Netizens from Taiwan or Hong Kong can submit their most touching love stories on the official event website before November 20, 2010, and rally their family and friends to vote for them before December 10, 2010. The 12 most popular stories selected through online voting will proceed to the final round for judging by a celebrity panel. The organizers will host a love vow party for the six couples on Little Liuqiu and gift them a two-day, one-night romantic trip.

In addition to the love vow party, participants can also invite their family and friends to witness the moment or relive old memories. Selected honeymoon trip winners will also receive round-trip boat tickets for two, one night in a double honeymoon suite at a Little Liuqiu-style homestay, a romantic candlelight dinner for two with breakfast, a “love salami” symbolizing everlasting true love, two romantic candlelight dinner vouchers, four sets of 10T photos or a family portrait photo session for up to four people, and a pair of couple sunglasses, among other great gifts.

To attract more participants, the organizing team will offer a variety of attractive prizes, such as accommodation vouchers from well-known hotel chains and homestays. Those who participate in the online essay submission and voting activities can also enter a random computer draw.
