Taiwan’s Romantic Love Island: Penghu’s Love Season Kicks Off in November

Penghu’s unique island charm and ocean vibes, paired with sunrises, sunsets, beaches, listening to the waves, and stargazing, offer a fun and romantic experience.

Upon arrival at Makung Airport’s “Happiness Check-in,” visitors are welcomed with a “Cheers to Happiness” welcome drink and are also gifted a “Sea Vows & Mountain Pledges – Happiness Certificate.” Here, they can have it stamped with the exclusive Love Season steel seal, symbolizing eternal love. Then, at Taiwan’s first lighthouse—the Fishermen’s Island Lighthouse—they can write their love vows and drop them in the “Happiness Mailbox” to send to their one true partner. At the wishing wall next to Penghu’s famous confession and proposal spot, Xiyin Rainbow Bridge, couples can bring their own “couple locks,” write their names and vows, and attach them. There’s also a Love Season-exclusive “Love Love Warm Cup,” which can be enjoyed for free at any 7-11 island-wide with a hot coffee, making relationships even cozier.

The recommended attractions are divided into five categories: (1) Dreamy Beaches: Lindou Aimen Beach, Wangan Guanyin Beach, Niao Yu Islet Beach, Jinguitou Beach, and Xihu Beach; (2) Sunrises & Sunsets: Makung Guanyin Pavilion, Wang’an Tiantai Mountain, Fishermen’s Island Lighthouse, Ye Ye Viewpoint, and Xiaomen Crocodile Rock; (3) Stargazing Hand-in-Hand: Shedou Mountain, Cross-Sea Bridge, Xitai Ancient Fort, Erjimen Grassland, and Kuibi Mountain; (4) Listening to the Waves Embraced Together: Xiaomen Islet Whale Cave, Seaweed Reef Curling Waves, Fenggui Listening to the Waves, Longmen Roaring Waves, and Chengqian Beach; (5) Confessions & Proposals: Xiyin Rainbow Bridge, “V-ing Café,” Haibin Lounge Bar, Zhongtun Windmills. All types of romantic spots can be found in Penghu, making your bond even sweeter and warmer.
