This year’s Japan Pavilion has lots of attractive offers for visitors—the highest number of Japanese booths ever, with a total of 88 booths and 41 groups. The most distinctive feature of the pavilion’s design is “Japan Endless Discovery: The Infinite Charms of Japan.” The event will be divided into two major sections for promotion: 1. “WEnews invites everyone to discover the beauty of Japan,” and 2. Four themed booths: Food, Nature, Culture, and Japanese TV Drama Filming Locations.
Japanese hot springs have always been a big draw for Taiwanese tourists.
The online campaign “WEnews invites everyone to discover the beauty of Japan” allows participants to upload and share articles about travel experiences in Japan (300 words or more) for a chance to become a special reporter for the Japan Pavilion. The campaign runs from now until October 29, with three winners to be announced on November 3. Winners will receive free entry to the travel fair, cash prizes, and the opportunity to write three reports related to the Japan Pavilion. Additionally, during the travel fair (November 5–8), members of the “FaceJapan Love Japan” fan group can join the 2010 ITF Japan Bulletin Team to upload photos and texts for cash rewards. Take a photo in the Japan Pavilion and write a 100-word caption, then upload it to the “Japan Pavilion Bulletin Team Activity Zone.” The most popular entry will win a NT$5,000 prize. The voting ends on November 10.
This year’s four themed booths—Food, Nature, Culture, and Japanese TV Drama Filming Locations—will feature demonstrations by master food model artists, and six travel agencies will be participating: Daxing, Xin’an, Darong, Canxing, Xiangsheng, and Jiapin. Japanese participants include Hokkaido, Niseko, Otaru Music Box Museum, Tohoku Regional Wide Area Tourism Promotion Association, Iwate Prefecture Wide Area Tourism Promotion Association, Kanto Regional Wide Area Tourism Promotion Association... and more. The organizers have also arranged four performance groups: Hirado Kagura, Awa Odori Dance, Ninja Martial Arts Show, and Okinawan Music Performance.
This is a perfect season to go to Japan for autumn foliage viewing, as seen here at Zaō Onsen.
This year, anyone who purchases products from the six participating travel agencies at the Japan Pavilion will receive a free Sakura Bear plush toy and a QUQ card (equivalent to an 180-yen stored-value card for 500 yen), while supplies last.
