The 2010 Taipei International Flora Expo grandly opened last Saturday, with various peripheral activities and performances being launched successively. To encourage enthusiastic participation from Taipei County residents in this floral extravaganza, the period from 11/6 to 11/14 has been specially designated as the "Taipei County Activity Week." During these ten days, Taipei County residents can enjoy half-price entry to the expo by simply presenting their ID card or driver’s license. Additionally, many outstanding performance groups have been invited to stage shows, promising an exciting experience.

The Taipei County Government’s Cultural Affairs Bureau stated that the half-price entry is a great value offer. To showcase the diverse facets of Taipei County, during the "Taipei County Activity Week" at the Flora Expo’s newly developed park "Flower Dream Plaza," visitors can enjoy high-quality artistic performances for free. Acts include the "Chanson Chamber Orchestra," "Fangxiang Dance Troupe," "Eight Directions Band," "Water Shadow Dance Group," "Lucky Clover Puppet Theater," "~? Shirt Zhi?," and "Bacai Design," among others. These performances will take place daily from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM at the "Flower Dream Plaza" in the New Park area for ten consecutive days. Many groups have creatively incorporated floral themes into their performances, echoing the charming spirit of the Flower Expo.

The "Flora Expo Pop-up Pavilion—Far Eastern Eco-Ark" features a refreshing design.

The performing groups participating this time are all award-winning, outstanding, and mentoring arts troupes deeply rooted in northern Taiwan. They are frequently invited to perform abroad and will all be presented together during the "Taipei County Activity Week." Taipei County residents and the general public are welcome to visit the Flora Expo and appreciate the culture and art of northern Taiwan.
