When it comes to major music events in Taiwan, Spring Scream in Kenting always comes to mind. But this year, Pingtung has an exciting winter music festival too—the "Rage Guitar Music Festival" from December 10th to 12th will be held at Sichongxi Hot Spring area. The event features a Guitar Sweetheart voting contest, MILK BOX street performer showcase, Rage Guitar theme night, nationwide KUSO guitar performances, the National Rage Guitar Competition, and a local agricultural and hot spring food feast. While soaking in the hot springs of Sichongxi, you can also enjoy music and delicious food, and feel the vibrant energy of the area.

On December 11th, the Rage Guitar Theme Night invites ambassador Guo Jing, star guitarist PIA from the One Million Star show, romantic ballad singer Shi Wenbin, and Golden Melody Award-winning best Mandarin male singer Yan Yongneng. The night blends performances on ukulele, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and other classical and modern guitar styles, all joining you in a rage of strings. There will also be street performers showcasing guitar talent, while guitar virtuosos from across the country compete in Sichongxi.

When visiting Sichongxi, don’t forget to relax in the hot springs and unwind your body and mind. To promote the Rage Guitar Music Festival, local hot spring businesses have jointly launched the “Soak & Strum 99 Hot Spring Deal.” Participating venues include Qingquan Japanese-style Hot Spring, m:Spring, Jingfu Villa, Dashan Hot Spring, Holland Hot Spring, You Sheng Mei Di, Xin Guishan Hot Spring, Sichongxi Hot Spring Grand Hotel, and Hui Xiang Lian Lian Hot Spring Resort. They are offering 30 rooms available on weekdays (Monday to Friday).
