Want to go on a themed trip exploring Hakka culture? Keen to try authentic Hakka stir-fry dishes? Check out how "Crazy About Taiwan" shows you how to get up close and personal with Hakka culture. TLC Travel & Living Channel's "Crazy About Taiwan" features host Janet taking viewers to participate in a variety of fun and interesting Hakka festivals and cultural events, including the Hsinchu Yimin Cultural Festival, the Hakka Tung Blossom Festival, Tung Blossom weddings, the Sanyi Cloud Fire Dragon event, and the Hakka Drum King Competition, aiming to let people across Asia experience the essence of Taiwan's "hospitality." TLC Travel & Living Channel’s "Crazy About Taiwan: Hakka Special" will premiere at 8:00 PM on December 19th across Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Thailand, and 20 other countries, reaching over 133 million households who can join Janet in discovering the beauty of Hakka culture. A rebroadcast will air in Taiwan on Thursday, December 23rd at 10:00 AM.

Speaking of Hakka cuisine, Janet, who had just returned from filming a special in India, shared an amusing experience: During a break when the crew was having a meal, the restaurant owner curiously asked where they were from. Janet replied, “We’re from Taiwan!” The restaurant owner immediately gave a thumbs-up and said, “Hakka Noodles, Good!” which thrilled the whole team.

This is the first time an international media outlet has had the opportunity to produce a special series that delves deeply into Taiwanese Hakka culture and seasonal festival celebrations.”
