Travel Center / Comprehensive Report
Recently, more and more Japanese restaurants have been entering the Taiwanese market.
The head chef of Nihonbashi Tamai, Yasuhiro Tamai, has previously served as executive chef at several five-star hotels. By a twist of fate, he began preparing his favorite natural ingredient—unagi (Japanese freshwater eel)—in unique ways, leading to the opening of the first unagi-specialty Japanese restaurant “Nihonbashi Tamai” (Nihonbashi Store No. 1) in June 2005. Its first overseas branch is now set to officially debut in Taiwan.
