“OPEN YOUR DREAM” New Year’s Parade Challenge to Break Asian Record

On December 25th, the “OPEN YOUR DREAM” New Year’s Giant Balloon Parade Carnival will kick off in Kaohsiung, followed by the “OPEN YOUR DREAM 2011 Kaohsiung City New Year’s Eve Gala” at Dream Mall on December 31st. A spectacular “Pili OPEN Light, Music & Fireworks Show,” created with an investment, will present a 211-second visual and auditory feast combining “music, lights, and fireworks.” Additionally, at the Qingjing Visitor Center at an altitude of 1743 meters, there will be a “Meet Happiness in Qingjing” New Year’s Eve Gala and fireworks display.

On December 25th, the “OPEN YOUR DREAM” New Year’s giant balloon parade carnival will take place in Kaohsiung, and on December 31st, the “OPEN YOUR DREAM 2011 Kaohsiung City New Year’s Eve Gala” will be held at Dream Mall. The company has also invested in the “Pili OPEN Light, Music & Fireworks Show,” designed as a 211-second sensory experience blending “music, lights, and fireworks.” Furthermore, at the Qingjing Visitor Center, situated at an elevation of 1743 meters, a “Meet Happiness in Qingjing” New Year’s Eve Gala and fireworks show is planned.

Additionally, over a hundred products at 7-ELEVEN stores will be available at half price for a second item (with icash discount). According to President Chain Store, taking last year as an example, the New Year’s parade, fireworks, and other events held at Dream Mall in Kaohsiung attracted a total of over 600,000 participants. This year, in celebration of the 100th year of the Republic of China, the company has spent over six months in planning. From store consumer promotions, the lineup for the parade and gala, to the addition of new concepts in the fireworks show, the aim is to offer the public a refreshing experience. Moreover, two days of star-studded performances have been arranged to take everyone down memory lane with classic hits from the past century.

The fifth annual “OPEN YOUR DREAM” New Year’s Giant Balloon Parade Carnival, in addition to popular character balloons within the group such as the OPEN family, COCO Bird from Watsons, Bodhi Bear from Mister Donut, Cool Cat and Snow Cat from Black Cat Delivery... also welcomes new members including Doraemon, SpongeBob SquarePants, The Powerpuff Girls, Ben 10, Thomas the Tank Engine, Mayday’s Ashin STAYREAL Bat Mouse, and Pili Puppet Show’s Su Zhenzhen, among other popular cartoon icons. With 25 large balloons and over 200 performance groups, it aims to challenge the record for the largest balloon parade in Asia’s history.

The New Year’s fireworks show, “Pili OPEN Light, Music & Fireworks Spectacular,” features a visual and auditory extravaganza that combines “music, lights, and fireworks.” On the day, Pili puppets will interact with the audience, including popular characters like Su Zhenzhen performing aerial martial arts displays, from which fireworks will burst forth, kicking off the 211-second spectacular show to ring in the New Year. Over 500,000 grand prizes will also be prepared, inviting both on-site and TV audiences to participate in an SMS campaign to join in the celebration.
