A Musical Feast for All: The Energetic Okinawa International Music Festival

The "Okinawa International Asia Music Festival musix 2011" was named based on the concept of creating "a place where music (music) intersects (cross = x)." The festival features 23 indoor and outdoor venues across Naha City, Okinawa City, and Kitagumachi, inviting hundreds of domestic and international musicians and groups. With a diverse lineup including jazz, rock, indie music, and traditional Okinawan folk songs, the festival aims to showcase the richness of music through its vast venues and star-studded lineup.

Held from March 18 to 20, the event offers not only exciting street performances but also indoor concerts mainly along Kokusai Dori (International Street) in Naha City. Admission to indoor venues requires a ticket. As the second edition of the Okinawa Music Festival, it provides a new international platform for musical exchange among Asians. This year, Taiwan will be represented by acts such as Chen Jian-Nian, Ji Xiao-Jun, Hao En Jia Jia, EasyPlay, Life Tree, Xi Ye Ze & Si You Band, Pink Guitar Bitu, Woody Woody, and HOTPINK, showcasing Taiwanese indie music on the global stage.
