Last updated 2026-09-25 — Following the 2010 Chishang Spring Plowing Picnic Festival, where everyone sat on beautiful floral cloths by Dapu Pond, savoring exquisitely crafted rice snacks made with skill and creativity by the mothers of Chishang while enjoying music, and had a wonderful afternoon that received high praise from all, the 2011 Chishang Spring Plowing Picnic Festival will be held at 3 PM on April 17th by Dapu Pond in Chishang.
After the success of the 2010 Chishang Spring Plowing Picnic Festival, where attendees enjoyed sitting by the scenic Dapu Pond on lovely floral fabrics, delighting in delicately crafted rice desserts created with ingenuity and craftsmanship by the local moms of Chishang while listening to music, and spent a delightful afternoon that won widespread acclaim, the 2011 Chishang Spring Plowing Picnic Festival is set to take place at 3:00 PM on April 17th by Dapu Pond in Chishang.
The Chishang Spring Plowing Picnic Festival invites you to visit Dapu Pond!
On the day of the event, in addition to the ever-innovative moms introducing several new kinds of snacks, there will also be a variety of DIY experiences on-site, such as making grasshoppers from pandan leaves and kite painting. There will also be a special performance by the Brazilian Wali Band, who will sing a series of light-hearted yet profound songs centered around the vast mountains and sea and the Amis mother tongue. With the gentle breeze of Chishang, Brazilian Wali will showcase their Golden Melody Award-winning talent and bring everyone a comfortable spring afternoon.

If you still can’t get enough, you can also join the two-day, one-night East Coast Taitung Mountain and Sea Tour from April 16th to 17th. Take an early morning Puyuma train to embark on a rich tour of the beauty of the East Coast, explore the local night market in the evening, taste delicious regional snacks, then head to Taitung Spotlight Iron Flower Village to enjoy moving musical performances. The next day, drive to Luye Plateau, leisurely bike through Longtian Village, and then come to Chishang to take part in the rare Spring Plowing Picnic Festival.
