The battle of Mother’s Day cakes has quietly begun. Convenience stores, hotels, online retailers, and bakeries have all launched Mother’s Day cakes to compete for market share, offering more choices for consumers. This year, Elite Concept from Lady’s Baking has also introduced three French-style cakes, meticulously crafted with fresh fruits, white wine, and other premium ingredients. Each flavor is limited to 300 pieces, with a 20% discount for pre-orders placed before April 30.

Chef Chen Qinghai, Executive Pastry Chef, said that the Mother’s Day season is the peak period for cake orders in the baking industry for the entire year. It is estimated that Elite Concept will receive over 800 cake orders this year, an increase of about 20% compared to last year. This year, themed “A Mother’s Love as Weighty as a Mountain,” Elite Concept has designed three flagship products: the “Caramel Apple & White Wine Fuji Mountain,” shaped like a hill and decorated with French macarons, featuring a rich and moist French almond cake base paired with caramel green apples, whose natural sweet-and-sour flavor perfectly complements the almond taste and hints of French white wine aroma; the “Mango Lamington,” combining Australia’s traditional Lamington dessert—soft square cakes filled with chocolate and coated in coconut flakes—with layers of sponge cake and creamy coconut milk filling, along with flavors of pomegranate, strawberry, and mango for a refreshing taste; and the “Red Berry Decorated Cake,” made with a tangzhong dough chocolate cake base that is springy, moist, and slightly dense, using plenty of Michel Cluizel dark chocolate from France, layered with pistachio cake, strawberries, and fresh French cream, exuding a subtle Italian fruit liqueur aroma. Pre-orders are now open until May 8, with a 20% discount available for orders placed before April 30. Cakes can be picked up in-store or delivered to your home.

The “Caramel Apple & White Wine Fuji Mountain” features a uniquely shaped small hill of caramel and apple flavors. Its rich, moist French almond cake base is paired with caramel green apples. The natural sweet-and-sour taste complements the almond flavor and carries hints of French white wine aroma. The cake is adorned with macarons, resulting in a refreshing and not overly sweet overall taste. The “Mango Lamington” draws from the Australian traditional Lamington dessert—a soft square cake filled with chocolate and coated in coconut flakes. Its thousand-layered sponge is wrapped with layers of coconut milk filling, along with flavors of pomegranate, strawberry, and mango, delivering a refreshing taste. The “Red Berry Decorated Cake” uses a tangzhong dough chocolate cake base, offering a springy, moist, and slightly dense texture, with a large amount of Michel Cluizel dark chocolate from France. The layers include pistachio cake, strawberries, and fresh French cream, exuding a faint aroma of Italian fruit liqueur. Pre-orders are open now until May 8, with a 20% discount available for orders placed before April 30. Cakes can be picked up in-store or delivered to your home.
