Montblanc’s Million-Dollar Writing Treasures Go on Tour

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award, a touring exhibition titled “Montblanc Art Patronage Limited Edition Writing Instruments 20th Anniversary Exhibition” will be held in northern, central, and southern Taiwan. Nearly 60 rare and even one-of-a-kind Montblanc writing treasures, collectively worth tens of millions of New Taiwan Dollars, will be on display. The exhibition kicks off in Taipei and will be held at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi A9, Xinyi New Life Square from now until April 24.

The exhibition space is designed around the era of Gaius Maecenas, the ancient Roman politician known as the “father of art patronage.”
The concept draws inspiration from the era of Gaius Clinius Maecenas, known as the “father of art patronage” in ancient Rome, creating an exhibition space that feels like stepping back into the grand halls of ancient Rome. Each limited-edition writing instrument from Montblanc’s Art Patronage series, issued since 1992, is displayed like a treasured royal collection, offering visitors a profound museum-like experience.

On the other side of the Roman palace-inspired space lies a distinctly modern yet equally captivating exhibition area, featuring Montblanc’s Writers Edition limited writing instruments, as well as several special collectible series writing tools valued at millions. The wall displaying the Writers Edition limited instruments features hand-drawn signatures of every great writer Montblanc has honored with its writing instruments, allowing visitors to feel the deep connection between the pens and the literary masters. Other exhibition stops include April 27 to May 8 at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Tainan West Gate Branch, and May 12 to May 22 at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Taichung Zhonggang Branch.
