Though secluded from the hustle and bustle, Japan’s gassho villages and Tuscany’s Siena have still been inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Now, let’s get drunk on the sweetness of the world’s edge！

Oberammergau is a fairy-tale-like rural town in Germany, where every house is adorned with religious or fairytale-themed frescoes, even featuring Little Red Riding Hood！ The candy-like houses put on the “Passion Play” once every ten years, attracting throngs of tourists. Originally performed as a way to ward off the plague, the entire town would come together to stage this Passion Play. Not only were the costumes and designs meticulously crafted, but the music was also performed live, with actors strictly adhering to rules during rehearsals, refraining from any improper behavior.
