Convenience stores now offer even more services—over a thousand branches provide laundry service!

Many office workers often find laundromats closed after long workdays or during holidays. Starting today, Uni-President Enterprises Corporation is launching the “Laundry Convenience Service” at over a thousand branches across Taipei City, New Taipei City, and Keelung. Each branch will collect and deliver laundry on behalf of customers, using eco-friendly, biodegradable laundry bags. The clothes are then processed by professional laundry facilities and can be picked up at any 7-ELEVEN within four days, anytime. The service will gradually expand to all branches across Taiwan.

Uni-President Enterprises stated that according to market research, 70% of people send out and pick up their laundry after work. Japanese convenience stores introduced similar laundry services nine years ago, and usage has grown by over 30% annually. To improve convenience in terms of time and location, 7-ELEVEN’s “Laundry Convenience Service” leverages existing logistics infrastructure and integrates with the ibon lifestyle service platform, allowing customers to retrieve their laundry from nearby branches at any time within four days.

The “Laundry Convenience” service is now available in Taipei City, New Taipei City, and Keelung City. Currently, there are two package options: “5-piece short clothing” and “3-piece long clothing” such as suit jackets. Customers can pick up a “Laundry Convenience Special Laundry Bag” from the branch, pack their clothes, print the Laundry Convenience service slip via ibon, place the slip in the transparent sleeve on the outside of the laundry bag, and hand it over to the branch staff. Four days later, upon receiving an SMS notification, customers can pick up their laundry at the branch and pay on-site. Until December 31st, the special price is NT$299, and the pickup box can be recycled for a NT$5 discount on the next laundry service.
