The “Mayday” package attracts overseas fans, offering an all-in-one travel experience that saves more money

The popular band “Mayday” boasts a large fanbase both in Taiwan and internationally. Whenever their concerts are held, many overseas fans travel great distances to Taiwan for the experience. Travel service providers that specialize in concert-themed packages have seized this business opportunity. For the September 3 Taipei Arena concert, the September 6 movie premiere of “Back to the Future: The Ride” (“追梦3DNA”), and the October 15 Kaohsiung Super Slack Fest concert, they offer various bundled options — such as premium hotels plus concert or movie tickets, as well as multi-day fan packages that include flights, hotels, and tickets. At the lowest, you can experience Mayday up close for as little as one-third of the market price.
 

Zhenlü.com, the first to offer an all-in-one service for flights, hotels, and themed event tickets, has previously launched themed packages in regions including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, and Germany. For the Mayday Taipei Arena-themed packages, there are four options: premium Taipei hotel + concert ticket, or premium Taipei hotel + movie premiere ticket + limited-edition 3D celebrity giveaways. For travelers departing from Hong Kong, there are two group-of-two flight-plus-hotel-plus-ticket packages: flight + premium Taipei hotel for 2 nights + concert ticket, and flight + premium Taipei hotel for 4–5 nights + double tickets for the concert and premiere. These officially go on sale on August 13, with partner hotels including Silks Place, Chateau de Chine (Ximending and Linkou branches), Dynasty Hotel, Fullon Hotel (Songjiang branch), Darai Hotel, and Agfa Business Hotel, among other star-rated accommodations.
 

The October 15 Mayday “Super Slack Fest” concert at the World Games Stadium in Kaohsiung will draw 50,000 attendees for a non-stop, six-hour marathon performance — making it the largest and most energetic rock event in southern Taiwan this second half of the year. For the “Kaohsiung Super Slack Fest” themed packages, a variety of hotel choices are offered, ranging from 3 to 5 stars and accommodating groups of two to four. Each hotel night includes either a NT$1,580 or NT$1,280 concert ticket. For group bookings, additional tickets can be purchased on the same order. Accommodation options include The splendor Hotel, Tonmao Hotel Group, Lai Ching Hotel, and Kaohsiung Business Travel Hotel.
