The ultimate food festival bonanza – come August 18 at the World Trade Center

The Taiwan Culinary Exhibition will be held from August 18 to 21 at Hall 1 of the Taipei World Trade Center. This year is being hailed as the most rewarding edition ever, packed with the best deals for eating, drinking, playing, and entertainment. In addition to hotels and restaurants offering their most attractive promotional packages, the event will also feature an exciting traditional Taiwanese 12-zodiac-style banquet cooked up on-site for the first time. Visitors can sample and relive the flavors of everyday meals and the evolution of folk customs from the past, sure to spark a retro culinary trend.

This year is brimming with special offers, including cake tastings at the “Century Treasures Tea & Pastry Legend Exhibition,” sampling at the “Rice Feast” premium rice food lecture, cooking demos and prize games at the “Fresh & Healthy Cuisine Exhibition,” cooking classes and tastings with “Star Chefs’ Cooking Studios,” as well as flavor food samplings and lucky wheel games at the “Scenic Delicacies Gourmet Exhibition.” There will be at least 100 tasting and prize-winning game activities in total.

Additionally, the “Gourmet Delicacies” section remains one of the most anticipated exhibits year after year, with exhibitors this year rolling out their most generous offerings yet. The “Taiwan Century Gastronomy” exhibition area, featuring souvenirs, snack streets, and food zones, boasts a wide range of items with numerous tasting and free-sample promotions, guaranteeing a treat for all visitors. The snack street alone is touted as “200 meters of all-Taiwan street food,” making it the happiest street for sampling Taiwan’s local bites.

Meanwhile, the biennial “World Culinary Invitational Competition” this year features teams from Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, and three top Taiwanese teams selected last year (Linzuo Creative Cuisine, Tongde Team, and Le Paris Zhubei Team). These teams are highly competitive, with some overseas participants even quitting their jobs to focus solely on the competition. This year, the event will also be broadcast live on TV, ensuring audiences don’t miss any thrilling moments.
