The Maokong Gondola Convenience Store has opened, making food, drinks, and fun even more convenient!

The Maokong Gondola is a famous landmark in the Taipei area and a must-use transportation option for visiting the zoo and the Maokong area. It has been warmly welcomed by the public during the summer vacation. Starting today, the Maokong Gondola’s convenience store has officially opened, featuring 50 coffee seats for visitors to relax in. The comfortable space will further enhance the services offered at the Maokong Gondola.

Covering an area of about 50 pyeong (approximately 165 square meters), the Maokong Gondola Convenience Store incorporates Maokong-inspired design elements. Through its floor-to-ceiling windows, visitors can enjoy views of the mountain scenery in the Maokong area. In the future, the convenience store will also feature a special section for local Maokong and Taipei specialty products, offering a variety of souvenirs to make shopping more convenient for tourists. Residents in the Maokong area can also use general convenience store services such as bill payments, saving them the trip and time needed to go down the mountain. The convenience store’s operating hours align with those of the Maokong Gondola and it is closed every Monday.

The Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation stated that the Maokong Gondola, in conjunction with the Taipei City Government’s summer promotion campaign “Three Cats FUN Summer Vacation,” will conclude on August 31. To date, it has attracted over 350,000 passengers to ride the Maokong Gondola and enjoy the discounts. The city’s Tourism and Information Bureau has also set up a tourist service center at the Maokong Station, and the public is welcome to make use of it.
