Travel with music — the Taipei MRT Music Festival kicks off in September

The “2011 Taipei MRT Exit Music Festival” is set to launch on September 10th, with popular bands Won Fu and SKARAOKE leading the charge to ignite the opening of the Taipei MRT Exit Music Festival. This annual music event has invited heavyweight singers such as Crowd Lu, aiming to encourage more people to travel with music while riding the MRT. From September 10th to October 8th, over five consecutive Saturdays without interruption, the festival will feature a diverse and vibrant lineup of music, offering a rich musical feast.

On September 10th, the first performance will take place at MRT Jiannan Road Station, followed by different MRT stations each Saturday where heavyweight singers will take the stage. On September 24th, Crowd Lu, Hsu Jia-ling, Hsieh Ho-hsien, and Girls and Robots will perform at Luzhou Station; other performances will feature Taiwan’s King of Songs Wen Hsia, rising idol singer Hsu Jia-ling, pub diva Wei Wei, Won Fu, piano poet Wang Chun-chieh, as well as the Taipei Jazz Orchestra and Aurora Percussion Ensemble. These events aim to allow more people to enjoy music on the MRT, spend joyful weekends, and find more hope, dreams, and emotional outlets through music.

The 2011 Taipei MRT Exit Music Festival not only boasts a strong lineup but also offers exciting prizes for the audience.
