Want an amazing view of Guishan Island paired with freshly caught seafood? Wǎngyuán Fishery delivers on both. During the Japanese colonial era, the northeast coast became a prime fishing area because of the mixing of warm and cold currents, which led to the development of fixed-net fishing—a method still in use today. Wǎngyuán Fishery employs an improved version of these nets, located right in the waters just off the restaurant.

Enjoy your meal while taking in the breathtaking seascape of the northeast coast.
From the restaurant, you can see the floating markers where the fixed nets are set—this is where Wǎngyuán Fishery retrieves its daily catch. The restaurant inspects the nets every day, while other seafood such as crabs is supplied through collaborations with local fishermen, ensuring only the freshest daily haul. There’s no fixed menu here—everything depends on the day’s catch, which is then prepared by a chef formerly from a five-star hotel. Savor exquisitely crafted dishes while admiring the most stunning coastal scenery in the northeast corner. Wǎngyuán Fishery is a highly recommended hidden gem among locals.

Wǎngyuán Fishery serves a set-course, à la carte-free dining experience. The set menu includes seven courses starting from NT$1,000, with prices varying based on the main dish. Family-style meals start at NT$6,000. Since all ingredients are freshly caught that day, reservations are required. It's best to visit on a sunny day to fully enjoy the spectacular seascape—the emerald waters and blue skies above Guishan Island.
