Trendy Taitung: The Makeup Expo to Take Center Stage in October

The “2011 International Makeup Culture Expo” will be held from October 6 to 8 in Taitung, inviting experts and scholars from Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, and other regions to speak at a Beauty Design & Styling Forum; on October 7 and 8, the National Makeup Competition will take place at the Taitung County Stadium, featuring nine competition categories that promise to amaze audiences.

Dubbed the largest fashion event in the mountainous region, this expo showcases the beautiful encounter between urban aesthetics and Taitung’s natural landscapes of mountains and waters, shaping the county’s image as a city of beauty and pageantry. It aims to boost Taitung’s cultural tourism visibility and paint another stunning skyline for the area. According to the Taitung County Government, the “2011 International Makeup Culture Expo” is expected to attract nearly a thousand participants and accompanying guests, including professional makeup artists, bridal consultants, styling experts, students from specialized schools, and others.

This event not only stimulates local tourism and leisure industries while enhancing professional skills, but also sets the stage for the upcoming “Centennial Nation-Building Tourism Wedding” activities. Through exchanges among industry, government, and academia, it deepens local aesthetic literacy.
