Last updated 2026-11-08 — I happened to have some business near Songshan Airport recently and wanted to meet up with friends for a chat. I was looking for a simple place to eat where we could sit for a while, so after doing some searching, I found this place called “Mr. Egg Pancake Bai Mu” which seemed pretty good. It operates in a breakfast-style format, with its main offering being crispy egg pancakes, and it’s quite popular among many people!

I happened to be meeting a friend near Songshan Airport recently for a chat and was looking for a simple place where I could sit for a while. After some searching, I found this place called "Mr. Bai Mu Egg Pancake," which seemed pretty good. It serves breakfast-style meals, with its signature item being crispy egg pancakes, which are quite popular among many people.

The shop is located in an alley on Dunhua North Road. Its cute human-shaped signboard is one of its main features. It’s open from daytime until the afternoon, so you can also stop by for a snack outside of regular meal times. There are quite a few seats inside, and unlike the usual style of places like Mei’ermei, it uses school desk chairs—pretty unique.

A must-try here is their chili sauce, and the flavor even convinced me—who rarely adds spice to egg pancakes—to give it a go. The taste is really good, kind of like the kind you’d find in beef noodle soup or pig intestine vermicelli.

That day I also ordered black tea and soy milk. The steel cups they use give the drinks a decent taste, but the burgers and sandwiches were pretty average.

They offer a variety of egg pancake flavors. This time I went with ones that had ham slices and shredded pork floss, both of which were quite tasty. But the highlight is really the slightly crispy, less greasy egg pancake skin—it has a bit of a flaky aroma, and adding the chili sauce makes it even better... A few days ago in Taichung, I also found quite a few places selling crispy egg pancakes, though the fillings varied.
