Following the conclusion of the North Coast Arts Festival, the Heavenly Sound Art Kite Festival has kicked off

The “Dance of the Wind” event of New Taipei City’s North Coast Arts Festival concluded at the end of September. One of the most popular attractions was watching skilled kite flyers from around the region showcase their stunts, sending artistic kites soaring through the sky. Now, the neighboring Yangmingshan Heavenly Sound Hot Spring Resort has teamed up for the first time with the Shimen Kite Promotion Association to launch an Art Kite Festival. Starting now, there will be daily guided kite-flying activities with professionals on hand to help you out.

Zheng Geng-he, chairman of the Shimen District Kite Promotion Association, said that Shimen has always been committed to promoting kite activities. Through this cross-district collaboration with Heavenly Sound Hot Spring Resort, the traditional kite industry can gain even more recognition. With varied programming, kite events have become even more colorful and exciting.

The Heavenly Sound Art Kite Festival will feature daily professional guidance for flying a variety of kites on its expansive green lawns. The event has also invited numerous renowned domestic kite enthusiasts, such as the “Kite World Eccentric” Lin Feng-yuan, indoor fishing-rod kite master Ye Deng-gui, Lei Hu fighter jet model kite inventor Wang Chun-hua, U.S. Stunt Kite Association President Yan Qing-yun, and Shimen Crown Coast Stunt Kite Team Captain Li Qing-tian. In addition, the Heavenly Sound resort will host various art kite exhibitions, indoor kite DIY/flying sessions, and open-field kite DIY activities, allowing visitors to enjoy a vibrant array of kite-related fun in addition to soaking in the hot springs.
