Challenge to become a Hot Spring Mastermind and get a chance to soak for free!

How much do you know about the hot springs of the North Coast? The Tourism Bureau’s North Coast & Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration invites everyone to take on the “Beiguan Hot Spring Mastermind” online challenge. Successfully complete the levels and you could win a free hot spring voucher or a limited-edition souvenir!

In the 2011 Jinshan-Wanli-Bali Hot Spring Food Carnival, the “North Coast ~ Hot Spring Mastermind” online marketing campaign was launched to test the public’s knowledge about hot spring soaking and the North Coast’s hot springs. By completing a fun hot spring quiz and filling out a satisfaction survey, participants could enter a random draw for prizes. Prizes included: a weekday double room stay voucher at Yangmingshan Tianlai Hot Spring Clubhouse European-Style Building (2 winners), a hot spring experience voucher at Jinyongquan Spa Hot Spring Clubhouse (winner plus one guest, total 10 winners), an open-air bath voucher at Yangmingshan Tianlai Hot Spring Clubhouse (winner plus one guest, total 5 winners), and a souvenir set — an environmentally friendly lunchbox with a mascot figure from the Exploration Hall (8 winners). The campaign ran from launch until December 4, 2011.

In addition, the Hot Spring Food Carnival also integrated local hot spring businesses, food vendors, and tourism resources to launch the “North Coast Hot Spring for 168” package. Regardless of age or gender, participants only need to pay NT$168 per person to join a one-day tour that includes sightseeing at North Coast attractions and hot spring relaxation. The event runs from November through late April of the following year, with 20 tour dates available and 40 spots per date, all with a guide providing commentary on the sights. The NT$168 fee includes: travel accident insurance, a NT$150 consumption voucher, guide service fees, and coach transportation costs.
