Flower Expo returns！The Exhibition Hall of Blooming Flowers transforms into a magical floral world

Last year’s Taipei Flower Expo attracted nearly 9 million visitors. Those who experienced its charm will have the chance to relive the magic！From December 24 to April 8, 2012, the Exhibition Hall of Blooming Flowers will host the “2012 Flowers in Taipei – The Blooming Returns” floral art exhibition. Continuing the “themed rotating exhibitions” style of the Flower Expo, the event will feature a new theme every two weeks, divided into nine major themes including “Flowers Celebrate New Year’s Day,” “Magical World,” and “Flower Fairy Troupe.” It will also showcase nine themed floral sculptures such as “New Year’s Fireworks,” “Magic Bubbles,” and “Auspicious Dragon Offering Good Fortune,” along with a darkroom area that integrates floral art with dynamic light and sound effects, presenting a delightful visual feast for visitors.

In addition to displaying various thematic concepts through flowers, the exhibition specially designs a darkroom area where visitors can experience a visual spectacle that combines technology and sensory effects. The opening theme, “Magical World,” highlights the Christmas atmosphere with abundant poinsettia plants, while the darkroom area uses varying light intensity and color shifts to create a starry, magical night sky, with beautiful flowers blooming inside a giant magic ball. The “Flowers Celebrate New Year’s Day” theme presents a lively and joyful New Year’s Eve vibe using Western floral arrangements, while the darkroom area designs flowers to resemble fireworks, accompanied by LED light performances that mimic a fireworks show. Other themes include “Flower Fairy Troupe,” “Celebrating the New Year,” and “Melody of Flowers,” where visitors can admire Taiwan’s seasonal blooms and floral displays of varying moods.

Additionally, visitors will have the opportunity to take photos with the exhibition’s mascot — Little Dot — before anyone else. Little Dot and the flower spirits from the Taipei Flower Expo will appear in major commercial areas in Xinyi District and Ximending. The plan is to collect 2012 photos with the public by December 7 to promote the floral art exhibition.
