The “Paris Shopping Season Shopping By Paris” event started in December and will continue until the end of February 2012. It’s an ideal time to visit the fashion capital. Aside from enjoying special discounts not normally offered, the Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau (Office du Tourisme et des Congrès de Paris) has also specially designed six designer brand shopping routes featuring different fashion styles: Select (Sélect), Trendy (Trendy), Creative (Créatif), Bohemian Chic (Bobo Chic), and Ethnic Style (Ethic-Ethnic). The public can browse the Paris Shopping Book online, where each route includes recommended shops and addresses, allowing you to plan your own preferred shopping itinerary.

Now in its sixth edition, the Paris Shopping Season offers not only discounts on clothing and luxury goods, but also special deals from over 174 partner hotels, including bed and breakfast packages and furnished rental accommodations. Restaurant Flo offers a 10% discount plus a complimentary aperitif, while the famous Paris Lido cabaret provides discounted tickets for select shows. Additionally, holders of the Paris Museum Pass can visit over 60 attractions and museums in Paris and the surrounding Île-de-France region. Purchasing two passes at once comes with an €8 discount, available from January 11 to 18, 2012.

With Christmas, New Year’s, and Chinese New Year approaching, Paris may be cold, but the shopping season fills the streets with a celebratory vibe. For those looking to enjoy a different kind of shopping and festive experience from Asia, trendsetting Paris is a great choice.
