Romantic countdown party in Changhua hands out 99 roses to newlyweds

This year, spending New Year’s Eve in Changhua will be romantic!“Lights and Colors Shine in Changhua – 2012 Changhua Countdown Party” will be held at 7:00 PM on December 31st at the Changhua County Stadium. County Magistrate Cho Po-yuan said that 10,000 roses will be prepared at the venue. As long as attendees enter early, they can receive one rose each (limited quantity, while supplies last). Additionally, 100 couples who got married on December 31, 2011, or January 1, 2012, can sign up, and 10 pairs will be randomly selected to receive 99 roses, symbolizing everlasting love.

This countdown party has specially invited celebrity couple Harlem Yu and Katrina Leung to serve as hosts. The event will also showcase a wonderful performance by the newly appointed floral industry ambassadors – the “Flower YOUNG Era” girls. Popular singers such as former One Million Star challenger and debut album artist Tseng Ching-wen, internet sensation and “Tofu Pudding Girl” Tsai Huang-ju, as well as talented singers who starred in this year’s film Seediq Bale like Luo Mei-ling, multi-talented comedian Kang Kang, Golden Melody Award-winning Mandopop king Weng Li-you, hit singer of Super Idol Zhu Li-jing, Yang Shih-shi, and popular singer Huang Si-ting will take turns performing. Additionally, the long-absent Hong Kong superstar Jordan Chan will also join the fun in Changhua.

Besides roses, the event will also offer concert light sticks and 4,000 saplings for the public to collect. Moreover, by presenting three unified invoices from Changhua County purchases made between November and December of this year at the Changhua County Local Tax Bureau booth, attendees can exchange for a beautifully designed commemorative event cap (limited quantity). The organizers will donate the collected invoices full of public goodwill to charitable organizations. On the day of the event, there will also be agricultural specialty product exhibitions and food stalls set up in the red brick area in front of the sports plaza.
