Starting from the evening of February 20 to February 21, a cold air mass from mainland China will move south, causing temperatures to drop in northern and northeastern Taiwan; scattered brief showers are expected in northern and eastern Taiwan, central and southern mountainous areas, and Matsu, while other areas, as well as Penghu and Kinmen, will be mostly cloudy.

Local fog or low clouds that may affect visibility are likely in western Taiwan and the outlying islands of Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu. Taoyuan City and Lienchiang County have issued dense fog advisories.

This week’s temperature trend is similar to that of the 20th and 21st. Keelung and eastern Taiwan will experience rain throughout the week; northern Miaoli and areas north of it will see rain through Thursday before clearing up; central and southern regions have a low chance of rain this week, with only localized showers possible in Yunlin and Pingtung. The weekend will bring clear and sunny weather. Temperatures in Kinmen, Penghu, and Matsu will be relatively low, with Matsu seeing around 10–12°C and cloudy, rainy conditions clearing after Friday.
