Earthquake strikes again as Taiwan experiences a 5.3-magnitude quake following a 4.4-magnitude tremor in Nantou

Following a 4.4-magnitude earthquake in Nantou in the early hours of the 19th, another noticeable quake occurred at 22:47 that evening, with its epicenter in Datong Township, Yilan County. This was a 5.3-magnitude felt earthquake.

Yilan recorded an intensity of level 5, while Taoyuan, Hsinchu, New Taipei, and Hehuanshan in Nantou experienced level 4. Taipei had a level 3 intensity, and Taichung City and Chiayi registered level 1.
