The "Spring Sacrifice" Ceremony at Taipei Confucius Temple: "Participation Certificates" Now Available

The 2012 Spring Sacrifice at Confucius Temple will take place at 8:00 AM on February 26 at Taipei Confucius Temple. Starting today (2/17) until February 23 (closed on Mondays), the public can collect a free "Participation Certificate." The quantity is limited, so please seize the opportunity.

This year’s Spring Sacrifice focuses on the theme of "Praying for Academic Success," encouraging students to study diligently and incorporating student talent performances to create a unique and refined ceremony exclusive to Taipei Confucius Temple, while reinterpreting Confucian sacrificial culture. Taipei Confucius Temple stated that the Participation Certificate, with its main visual design themed around "Spring and Praying for Academic Success," is exquisitely beautiful and worth keeping as a memento. Members of the public may collect their certificates in person at No. 275, Dalong Street, Datong District, Taipei City, at the office of the Taipei Confucius Temple Management Committee. Schools, government agencies, and legal entities may request group Participation Certificates by letter during the distribution period. For those who are unable to obtain one in advance, on the morning of February 26 from 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM, the organizers will also distribute 100 on-site Participation Certificates to people queuing up at the entrance gate, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Taipei Confucius Temple also reminds participants that, in order to maintain the solemnity and dignity of the "Spring Sacrifice" ceremony, children under the age of 10 are not allowed to enter. All attendees are asked to dress appropriately. Smoking and eating are prohibited inside the venue. No entry will be permitted once the ceremony has begun, so please arrive early.
