228 holiday free travel option: Anping Old Street tours increased to 4 sessions

The free guided tours "Anping Old Street Tour" and "Historic Walk Through Tainan" launched by Tainan City Tourism Bureau have been well received by visitors. To promote Anping’s nomination in the "Taiwan’s Top 10 Small Tourist Towns" selection and to coincide with the upcoming four-day 228 holiday, the "Anping Old Street Tour" has increased the number of daily tour sessions. In addition to the originally scheduled services from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday, three additional tour sessions will be offered from February 25 (Sat) to February 28 (Tue), March 3 (Sat) to March 4 (Sun), and March 10 (Sat) to March 11 (Sun). The new time slots are 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. As of 12:00 noon today, the two afternoon sessions on February 26 are fully booked, as is the 9:30 a.m. session on February 27. Other sessions are still open for registration.

The itinerary for the "Anping Old Street Tour" begins at Anping Tree House (Michelin 2-star) → Deji Trading Company (Michelin 1-star) → Zhu Jiuying Memorial Hall → Former Site of U.S.-owned U;ji Trading Company → Taiwan Salt Dormitory → Former Site of British-owned Peace Trading Company → Dongxing Trading Company → Qianlong Seawall → Xilong Temple → Wang Jishizhai’s Western-style House → Residential Houses of the Old Anping Settlement → Tomb of the Twelve Armies ● Cemetery → Lu Jingtang’s Residence → Anping Tianhou Temple → Anping Fort (Michelin 1-star) → Zeelandia City Museum → Former Residence of Anping Old District Chief Lin Yongmin → Anping Local Culture Museum → Anping Guanyin Pavilion → Yanping Old Street → In front of Haotou Guangji Temple → Haishan Guildhall → Victorian Masonry Wall → Dressing Table Ruins → Haotou Community Wei Residence → Ancient Wall Sword Lion, and ends at Sanxin Cooperative.

The "Historic Walk Through Tainan" will maintain two tour sessions this weekend: 4:00 p.m. on Fridays and 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, all of which still have available spots. However, starting in March, the sessions will be changed to 3:00 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. Both the "Anping Old Street Tour" and "Historic Walk Through Tainan" have a guided duration of three hours.
