Pingtung’s 2-hectare “Resident Evil” painted rice field features Milla Jovovich, looking stunning in the fields

When you think of painted rice fields, do cute mascots come to mind? Pingtung’s eye-catching painted rice field is set to completely shatter that stereotype, with the striking visage of Milla Jovovich taking center stage in the paddy fields to promote the movie *Resident Evil: The Final Chapter*. The field will officially open to visitors for photos starting January 21.

A painted rice trend has swept across Taiwan, and Pingtung County Government has teamed up with Sony Pictures to set upa nearly 2-hectare painted rice field featuring the heroine from *Resident Evil: The Final Chapter*. It used a total of 462,000 colored rice plants, created using five colors—purple, white, yellow, black, and green—to form an incredibly lifelike image that perfectly captures Milla’s essence.

This largest movie-themed painted rice field in Taiwan combines agriculture with technology to create large-scale landscape art. After being planted on December 16 last year and going through a month of growth, the goddess finally made her stunning appearance on the Pingtung Plain. Fans can visit this intense-looking movie rice field for a pilgrimage starting January 21!
