Top 10 Deals Unveiled at Taipei International Spring Travel Fair, Launching March 30

The 6th "Taipei International Spring Travel Fair" 2012 will be held from March 30 to April 2 at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. On the opening day at 10:00 AM, the first 100 visitors aged 18 or above who purchase full-price tickets at the sightseeing elevator at Xinyi Road entrance will receive a free calla lily gift bag, which includes hot spring vouchers, souvenirs, meal coupons, and more. Among them, six lucky guests can also participate in the "Taiwan’s Top 10 Small Tourist Towns Scavenger Hunt," with winners receiving either a "Singapore Idol Drama Travel Package" (valued at approximately NT$18,500) or accommodation vouchers as grand prizes.

Additionally, the Taipei City Government has prepared 50 limited-edition gift bags worth NT$8,000 each to give away to the public. The exhibition area also features a 10-meter-long "Taipei Treasure Map" that combines various discounts and attractions. On the opening day of March 30, Tourism Bureau Director-General Chao Hsin-ping and popular "Travel King" personality Sasa will unveil the highlights of the Taipei Treasure Map together, and explain how to scan hidden QR codes and participate in activities to win the NT$8,000 gift bags and more.

Meanwhile, the organizers will also launch a variety of deals every day from 3/31 to 4/2 at 10:00 AM:

On 3/31 at 10:00 AM, the first 100 visitors aged 18 or above who purchase full-price tickets at the sightseeing elevator at Xinyi Road entrance will receive a free one-day pass for the Taipei Metro Tourist Passport (worth NT$180) or an exchange voucher for a one-day pass for the Kaohsiung Metro (worth NT$200). Among them, six lucky guests can also join the "Spring Travel Giveaway Challenge," with a chance to win an elegant mountain-view room at the Lalu Sun Moon Lake Hotel (worth about NT$12,000) or an elegant room at the Ambassador Hotel & Resorts – Formosa (including entry to Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village) for one night (worth about NT$7,700).

During the same time period, the first 100 Jeremy Lin fans who queue up at the sightseeing elevator at Xinyi Road entrance—if dressed in Jeremy Lin-related jerseys, T-shirts, or carrying related items...etc.—and are verified by the organizers, can enter for free.

On 4/1 and 4/2 at 10:00 AM, the first 100 visitors aged 18 or above who purchase full-price tickets at the sightseeing elevator at Xinyi Road entrance can buy a five-star Taipei Ambassador Hotel combo meal voucher for NT$100 each, with a limit of one per person. This exhibition gathers around 300 well-known domestic and international travel operators, with nearly 600 booths. The full-price ticket for the "Taipei International Spring Travel Fair" is NT$180, and the discounted ticket is NT$150. On 3/29, you can get a presale ticket at convenience stores like Hi-Life, FamilyMart, and i-bon, saving NT$60. At OK Mart, you can get a limited NT$30 discount coupon for free. Children 120 cm (inclusive) and under are not allowed entry on weekdays (3/30, 4/2), but are allowed free entry on weekends (3/31, 4/1).
