Free admission to exhibitions and half-price entry to amusement parks—great deals for kids on Children's Day

The annual Children's Day is approaching, and the National Museum of Natural Science in Taichung, the Shoushan Zoo in Kaohsiung, and E-DA World are all offering activities such as free admission or half-price tickets, giving children the chance to build beautiful memories with their families on this special holiday.

On Children's Day, the National Museum of Natural Science in Taichung will offer free access to its exhibition halls, Science Center, Botanical Garden, and the 921 Earthquake Education Park from 09:00–10:00. After 10:00, children under 12 can still visit for free by presenting their National Health Insurance card or other valid ID. Additionally, from March 30 to April 8, the museum presents the “Joyful Childhood — Qingming Festival Floral Design Special Exhibition,” which showcases floral art using structural and window-style display techniques, incorporating methods like tying, layering, gluing, weaving, and stringing. The exhibit blends fashionable style and design art with playful, child-friendly elements to create a vibrant floral world.

In celebration of Children's Day, Kaohsiung Shoushan Zoo not only offers free admission to children under 12 from April 4–8 but will also host a public welfare event titled “When Animal Doctors Meet Happy Angels” on Children's Day itself, aiming to guide underprivileged children in exploring the world and enhancing parent-child interactions. Furthermore, from April 4–29, the zoo has partnered with Cartoon Network for the “Gumball’s Here for Fun — Happy Children’s Month” campaign. Visitors who take photos with “Gumball” and “Darwin” activity cards in the park will have a chance to win a digital camera. For more details, check the Shoushan Zoo website at zoo.kcg.gov.tw.

E-DA World in Kaohsiung offers a special promotion from April 1–8: visitors who print a discount voucher from the official website and present it along with proof of the child’s identity when purchasing tickets can enjoy a 50% discount on tickets for children under 12.
