A European-style medieval castle nestled in the forests of Puli — Château Olliere

Located in Puli, Nantou, Château Olliere was built on a 2,000-ping site, took five years to complete, and cost 250 million NTD. Stepping inside gives visitors the illusion of being in a medieval European castle. Everything in the château — from dining and accommodation to decor and furnishings — is imported directly from Europe by owner Benson, offering guests a truly aristocratic experience.

The estate features four main structures: the "Isabella" Castle, which combines dining and accommodation; the "King and Queen" Castle; the "Elizabeth II" Castle, primarily for lodging; and the "Victoria" Castle, designed in English palace style. Each castle has a distinct interior design, with over a hundred different styles of crystal chandeliers hanging throughout. The wallpapers and fabric patterns for sofas vary uniquely as well, all contributing to an astonishing level of luxury. Beyond the castle buildings, the outdoor landscape is also designed in European style — including a white wedding altar, a pinkish-purple leisure corridor, and statues of Neptune and cherubs in the fountain — every corner is a visual delight.

Beyond the elegant and magnificent architecture, the culinary offerings at the estate are exquisitely refined, making it a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts. One of the most famous dishes is the classic Olliere steak platter, crafted with premium ingredients and imported spices, rivaling the dishes of top French restaurants. From wine pairings, appetizers, to soups, each course is a delicate delight.
